NEWS ADVISORY
METRO MODIFICATIONS TO PUBLIC TRANSIT SERVICE

METRO will delay the start of all Park & Ride service due to extreme icing conditions on all major local freeways and overpasses. METRO expects to be able to begin Park & Ride service at 8 a.m. but that determination will be based on road conditions at that time.

HOV lanes will not be operational due to severe icing conditions.

METRO anticipates providing all scheduled weekday local bus services, with detours as required to address icing conditions METRO rail service will be modified with 10 minute frequencies  rather than the usual six minute intervals.

Weather and road conditions will be monitored and services adjusted as needed.

METRO will offer warming vehicles at 20 Transit Centers until Friday afternoon or as weather conditions dictate.
